Expert Agreement

Introduction

This Agreement applies to all approved experts on Clarity.fm. By completing the expert application and accepting approval, you agree to this Agreement in addition to the Terms of Service.

1. What Being an Expert Means

As an approved expert on Clarity.fm, you may:

  • Maintain a public expert profile and Channel
  • Set your own session rate and availability
  • Receive bookings from users via the Platform
  • Publish content to your Channel
  • Connect external content sources (RSS, YouTube, etc.) to your Channel
  • Accept self-sourced bookings via your personal booking link

Being an approved expert does not create an employment or contractor relationship with Clarity.fm. You are an independent professional.

2. Your Responsibilities

2.1 Accuracy. Your profile, credentials, and expertise claims must be accurate and truthful. Misrepresenting your background or qualifications is a violation of this Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy.

2.2 Session Quality. You agree to show up for booked sessions on time, deliver the consultation you agreed to, and maintain professional conduct throughout.

2.3 Channel Content. Content you publish to your Channel must be accurate, relevant to your expertise, and compliant with our Acceptable Use Policy. Publishing full-body content from sources you do not own requires confirmation that you hold the rights to do so.

2.4 Stripe Connect. You must maintain a valid connected Stripe account to receive payouts. Clarity.fm cannot issue payouts to experts without a valid Stripe connection.

3. What Clarity.fm May Do With Your Profile

By being an approved expert, you authorize Clarity.fm to:

  • Display your profile and Channel publicly
  • Include you in expert search results and AI-readable indexes
  • Surface your Channel content in discovery features (Discover feed, etc.)
  • Generate and emit structured data (JSON-LD, llms.txt) to help AI systems find your Channel
  • Include your Channel in the Platform sitemap for search engine indexing

You may withdraw these authorizations at any time by requesting account deactivation.

4. Commission Structure

Clarity.fm retains a commission on each completed session. The applicable rate depends on your commission tier and how the booking originated:

  • LEGACY tier: 15% on marketplace bookings, 10% on self-sourced bookings
  • STANDARD tier: 20% on marketplace bookings, 15% on self-sourced bookings
  • PREMIUM_25 tier: 25% on marketplace bookings
  • PREMIUM_30 tier: 30% on marketplace bookings

Self-sourced bookings are those originating from your personal booking link (/book/[slug]) where the client did not first discover you through Clarity.fm’s marketplace.

Commission rates may change with 30 days’ written notice.

5. Profile Visibility Controls

You control your Channel’s public visibility through your dashboard settings. Changes take effect within 24 hours. Requests for full account deactivation or data deletion are processed per the Dispute Resolution Policy.

6. No Exclusivity

This Agreement does not prevent you from maintaining profiles on other platforms, offering services through other marketplaces, or operating an independent consulting practice. We simply ask that bookings from clients you discovered through Clarity.fm are processed through the Platform.
